The bit all about me
Welcome to my blog. My name is Lucy and I have finally taken the time to sit down and write one of these things. First things first.
I’m a 23 year old Aussie living in Hampshire, England. I was born and raised in Rockhampton, Queensland and have an older brother and sister.
I went to uni and got a journalism degree that I barely used until I got a fabulous job in Staines (yes, Staines of Ali G fame) where I finally get to write stuff and use of the skills they tried to teach me in the three year party that I call uni.
I’m sharing a flat in the town centre of Basingstoke, about five minutes from the train station, which is handy because I commute to Staines every day. I’m living with my best mate (another Aussie) and an English guy. Both lovely guys, but absolutely no chance with either of them. (It’s a 2 bedroom flat and I have the second bedroom – you do the math)
Did I mention I’m single? Have been for years! Not sure why though…I have a lot of guys that are friends but no one special at the moment (although I am chasing one at the moment). Actually I lie, I’m chasing a few at the moment, it just depends on who bites first. That sounds terrible doesn’t it? I’m just keeping my options open.
My favourite drink in the whole wide world is Bundaberg Rum. It is the BEST rum in the world. My parents bought me 2 bottles of it for Christmas plus Cherry Ripes. If any likes this blog and would like to buy me a present, those are 2 options…
My second love after Bundy is writing. I got hooked on Mills and Boon when I was 13 and I’m still an addict. I’ve never finished writing one because you only need to complete the first three chapters and a synopsis to submit it to the publisher. It got rejected so I never finished it. I’ve started a new one though. I’m up to the second chapter. It’s much better than the first one, even my boys agree (my flatmates).
I think that’s probably all you need to know at the moment. I’m sure to add to this once or twice a week. Probably on weekends. And don’t worry, I’ll keep my bitching to a minimum, you never know who’s going to read this…
